Five Lose P160,000 in Pay Day Holdup

May 15, 2012 – Take-home pay from five Pasig City employees didn’t reach home after the victims were held up at gunpoint while aboard an unmarked Makati-bound shuttle van early morning in Makati City.

Taking advantage of the May 15 pay day were six suspects, four men and two women, who took a total of P160,000 worth of cash and valuables, which included mobile phones, high-end gadgets and studded engagement and wedding rings.

Reports said that the suspects first boarded the van while stationed in Bagong Ilog in this city roughly an hour past midnight. Upon reaching Ayala Avenue, the robbers drew their guns and declared the holdup while the victims were dropped off in Urdaneta, Makati, shortly after.

Police were hoping to identify the suspects and the license plate of the used vehicle with the help of CCTV cameras in the area but were dismayed to learn that none were working. ###
